The HANDiCAMS Project consits of 7 Work Packages (WPs), six research work packages and one work package for the management and dissemination of the project results. The work packages are structured into deliverables and milestones, and managed by a work package leader, being one of the Project Partners.
The first four WPs are aimed at developing sound theoretical (yet practical) frameworks that facilitate the design (and analysis) of multimedia signal processing algorithms for a scenario with Multiple Devices for Multiple Taks (MDMT).
WP 1: Robust distributed multi-source detection and labelling.
WP 2: Design of basic principles for cooperation when nodes have different interests.
WP 3: Distributed algorithms for node ranking and topology inference/selection.
WP 4: Flexible and distributed source and channel coding.
The last two research WPs consider two user cases that constitute a proof of concept for multimedia applications in an MDMT setting.
WP 5: Distributed in-network fusion and processing of heterogeneous audio signals.
WP 6: Distributed in-network fusion and processing of heterogeneous video signals.
